What is this tool?

Previews a 3D mesh file (STL, OBJ, or PLY) as a wireframe you can orbit and zoom, along with vertex count, triangle count, and bounding box dimensions, without needing to open dedicated 3D software.

How to use it

Upload your 3D file, then drag on the preview to rotate it and scroll to zoom in or out — it auto-rotates until you interact with it. Use Reset View to return to the default angle.

Checking the bounding box dimensions before sending a file to a 3D printer is a quick way to catch a model that's the wrong scale entirely — a mesh modeled in millimeters versus inches can be off by a large factor.
