What is this tool?

How to use it

MP4 is the safest default if you're not sure what format a platform expects -- it has the widest compatibility across devices and services. Converting between formats generally re-encodes the whole video, so it takes real time -- larger files or longer videos will take noticeably longer. Some phone-recorded videos (particularly .mov files) use a codec this tool can't read -- if processing fails right away, try re-exporting the video from your phone's own share options first.
