API & MCP for FreeDailyPro's Tools
Document, text, image, video, audio, and utility logic from our professional tools, callable from your own code -- honestly: PDF, image, video, audio, text, security, and calculator tools are covered; a few things genuinely aren't yet — OCR, Office-format (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) conversion, and anything needing live camera/screen/microphone access (those are inherently browser-only, not an API limitation).
Use tools through APIs or MCP for ANY
PDF API
Merge, split, compress, watermark, redact, fill forms, extract text — the real document pipeline operations behind our PDF tools, callable from your own backend.
Media API
Real ffmpeg-backed video and audio processing — convert, trim, merge, compress, extract audio, generate thumbnails/GIFs, burn subtitles — plus image resize/crop/flip/rotate/convert.
Text API
Word count, slugs, case conversion, similarity, hashing — honest, non-LLM text operations. No AI claims for what's really a fast, deterministic function.
MCP
A curated tool set for AI agents (Claude Desktop, Cursor, and similar) to call directly mid-conversation — not "here are 100+ tools, good luck."
Where this API actually lives
Not a page that says "coming soon" — these are live, working listings you can subscribe to or connect to today.
For AI agents
Machine-readable coverage and setup steps live at api.freedailypro.com/llms.txt. The short version:
# 1. Get a key (sign in required, one-time):
# 2. Confirm MCP works with your key:
curl -X POST https://api.freedailypro.com/mcp \
-H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list"}'Regenerating your key immediately revokes the old one everywhere it's used — if a key already works somewhere, don't regenerate it just to get a fresh one for a test; reuse the existing key instead. Coverage is a subset of the site's 200+ tools (PDF, text, security, calculators, business documents, plus the Media API for video, audio and basic image operations). Other image-editing tools are browser-only and not in the API; the OpenAPI spec is the source of truth.
Your API Key — works across every category on this page
One key, one shared usage pool. Every call counts the same toward your plan's limit, no matter which category it's from — a PDF call and a calculator call cost exactly the same. We don't price or meter any category differently.
For MCP (Claude Desktop, Cursor, and similar): connect to our remote MCP endpoint using the same key above — https://api.freedailypro.com/mcp, which covers every category on this page, PDF included. See Quick Start below for a working example.

Quick Start
Fill in a PDF form's fields programmatically:
curl -X POST https://api.freedailypro.com/v1/fillable-forms/fill \
-H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
-F "file=@form.pdf" \
-F 'values={"fullName":"Jane Doe"}' \
-o filled.pdfRedact sensitive areas of a PDF permanently:
curl -X POST https://api.freedailypro.com/v1/redact-pdf \
-H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
-F "file=@document.pdf" \
-F 'boxes={"0":[{"x":0.1,"y":0.1,"w":0.5,"h":0.1}]}' \
-o redacted.pdfGenerate a hash with the security toolkit — the SAME key, same shared quota:
curl -X POST https://api.freedailypro.com/v1/security/hash \
-H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"text":"hello world","algorithm":"sha256"}'Call a tool over MCP directly (same shared quota again):
curl -X POST https://api.freedailypro.com/mcp \
-H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Accept: application/json, text/event-stream" \
-d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"generate_hash","arguments":{"text":"hello world","algorithm":"sha256"}}}'How to use this API
- Generate a key on this page (above) — one key works across every category, PDF included, with one shared monthly quota.
- Pick your integration: call the REST endpoints directly (curl, Postman, RapidAPI), or connect an MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor) to the single MCP endpoint shown above.
- Every call needs the
X-API-Keyheader (REST) or the same key passed to your MCP client's config (MCP) — there's no separate auth step. - Check the response status: a real result comes back as
200, an over-quota call as429, and a missing or wrong key as401. - Track usage and upgrade your plan any time by returning to this page — your current tier and quota are shown above once you're signed in.
Tips
- PDF endpoints (parse/fill/redact) take
multipart/form-data, not JSON — the file goes in afilefield, and any structured input (likevaluesorboxes) is a JSON string inside its own form field, not the request body itself. - Redaction coordinates are fractional (0-1 relative to page width/height), not pixels — call
fillable-forms/parsefirst if you're not sure of a form's real field names before trying to fill it. - The trial tier's 20,000 calls/month is a hard cap shared across every endpoint you call, not a per-category allowance — a PDF call and a text call count the same.
- If you're testing from a browser (not a server), make sure your origin is allowed — CORS is open for GET requests but browser-based POSTs to file endpoints can hit preflight issues that a server-to-server call won't.
- Regenerating your key immediately revokes the old one — update every place you've saved it (Postman environment, RapidAPI, MCP client config) at the same time, not after.
Start with one call
Each page has a request you can copy and run.
Frequently asked questions
Every call returns a 429 once you've used your full monthly allowance, with the exact limit and current usage in the response body. Nothing is throttled or queued — calls either succeed normally or fail cleanly with 429 until your quota resets at the start of your next billing cycle, or until you upgrade to a higher tier.
The most common cause is a stale key from before a regeneration — regenerating immediately revokes the old key everywhere it's used, so if you've saved the key in more than one place (Postman, RapidAPI, an MCP client config, a .env file), all of them need the new value at once. The other common cause is missing the header name itself: it's X-API-Key, not Authorization or Bearer.
Yes — one key, one shared monthly call count across every category on this page. There's no separate allowance or higher per-call cost for file or media operations; a video-compress call and a word-count call count identically toward your plan's limit.
REST if you're calling this from your own backend, a script, or a tool like Postman/RapidAPI — it's a normal request/response HTTP call. MCP if you want an AI agent (Claude Desktop, Cursor, or similar) to call these tools directly as part of a conversation — it's a different protocol (a persistent connection, not a one-off HTTP call), so it isn't something you'd typically call from a plain script. One practical difference for file/media tools specifically: MCP's video and audio tools use smaller file-size limits than the same operations over REST, since base64-encoding a file for a tool call adds real overhead that a raw HTTP upload doesn't have.
Yes — the published Postman collection above has every request pre-filled and ready to run once you set your API key as an environment variable, and RapidAPI's own in-browser playground works the same way without installing anything. Both are real, live requests against the same production API, not a mocked sandbox.
Files sent to the API — PDFs, images, video, audio — are processed in memory and never written to disk or stored anywhere — once the response is returned (or the request fails), the file is gone. There's no file history, no reprocessing endpoint, and no way to retrieve a file you've already sent, by design.
