FreeDailyPro vs TinyWow: Privacy and Free Tier, Compared

Both offer a large catalog of free tools. Here's an honest look at what's actually different — where files are processed, and what the free tier really includes.

TinyWow is one of the more well-known names in the free-online-tools space, with a large catalog covering PDF, image, video, and AI writing tools. It's a genuinely useful site. This isn't a takedown — it's an honest comparison of two specific things that actually differ between the two, since both matter more than a feature-count contest.

Where your file actually goes

This is the biggest structural difference. TinyWow processes files on its own servers — files are uploaded, processed, and then deleted automatically after a set window (typically 15 minutes to an hour, per their own stated policy). That's a reasonable, disclosed approach, but it does mean your file leaves your device, even if only temporarily.

Most tools on FreeDailyPro run entirely in your browser instead — the file never gets uploaded anywhere, because there's no server-side step for that tool to begin with. You don't have to trust a stated deletion policy, because there's nothing to delete off a server in the first place.

You don't need to take either site's word for this. Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use a tool — you'll be able to see directly whether your file's contents are actually being sent anywhere.

What "free" actually includes

TinyWow's free tier is real, but it comes with daily usage caps on individual tools before it nudges you toward a paid plan. FreeDailyPro's core tools don't carry artificial daily limits — the free tier isn't a trimmed-down preview of a paid product, it's the actual product for most of the catalog.

Where TinyWow has a real edge

Worth saying plainly: TinyWow's AI-powered writing and image tools are more mature right now, simply because they've been building that specific layer for longer. If what you need today is AI-generated content, that's a genuine strength on their side. AI tools are planned here too, but they're intentionally being built as a clearly-separated, optional layer on top of a free toolkit that already works completely without them — not the other way around.

The short version

  • Processing: FreeDailyPro runs most tools in-browser with nothing uploaded; TinyWow processes on servers with a stated auto-delete window
  • Free tier: FreeDailyPro's core tools have no daily caps; TinyWow's free tier includes per-tool usage limits
  • AI tools: TinyWow is currently more built-out here; FreeDailyPro is earlier but treats AI as optional, not core
  • Catalog breadth: both cover a wide range — TinyWow leans further into AI writing/image generation, FreeDailyPro spans further into calculators, tax tools, and business documents

Pick based on what actually matters for what you're doing that day — for anything involving a file you'd rather not upload anywhere, that's the deciding factor worth checking first, regardless of which site you land on.
